Arabi is an unincorporated community in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana on the East Bank of the Mississippi River, between the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans, Louisiana and Chalmette within the Greater New Orleans Metropolitan area. The population was 8,093 at the 2000 census.

In 2005, the area was virtually destroyed by storm surge and wind associated with Hurricane Katrina which topped the back levees and destroyed the Mississippi River-Gulf Outlet Canal (MRGO) levee. The area was re-flooded weeks later by Hurricane Rita when a temporary levee patch failed. The rebuilding process had begun by December, 2005.
