Carrizozo is a town in Lincoln County, New Mexico, in the United States. As of the 2000 census, the town population was 1,036. It is the county seat of Lincoln County and is in the Tularosa Basin. Carrizozo residents advertise a variety of cherry cider that is sold commercially in spite of the fact that no cherries are grown anywhere in the area.
