Henderson is a city in Clark County, Nevada, United States, five miles southeast of Las Vegas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 175,381, with a 2005 Census estimate placing the population at 232,146. The most recent estimate by the Clark County Comprehensive Planning Department placed the population at 256,390 as of July 1, 2006. This makes it the second largest city in Nevada displacing Reno for the #2 spot.
