Searchlight is a census-designated place (CDP) in Clark County, Nevada, United States. The population was 576 at the 2000 census, and was estimated by the Clark County Comprehensive Planning Department to have a population of 780 as of July 1, 2006, perhaps using different boundaries.
Searchlight was an important gold mining town of southern Nevada in the early part of the 20th century, but the mines exhausted after only a few years excavation. It is marked as Nevada Historical Marker 116.
