Aiken is a city in Aiken County, South Carolina and is part of the CSRA. The population was 25,337 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Aiken County, and is the site of a campus of the University of South Carolina Aiken. Aiken was recognized with the All-America City Award in 1997 by the National Civic League.
